The newspaper highlighted Rachel’s practical guidance on evaluating overseas markets, understanding differences in local consumer behavior and business environments, and selecting appropriate sales channels. She emphasized that successful expansion requires careful research into each market’s culture, customer preferences, income levels, regulations, and political risks before identifying opportunities from multiple perspectives.

During the Q&A session, participants raised practical questions about entering overseas markets and developing cross-border e-commerce strategies.

Reflecting on the feature, Rachel commented:

“I am grateful that this opportunity to exchange perspectives with Kagawa’s business community was introduced to a wider regional audience through Shikoku Shimbun. There is no single formula for overseas expansion. Taking the time to understand each market and selecting an approach suited to one’s own business are essential to sustainable growth. I hope the seminar offered participants a useful starting point for exploring new opportunities beyond Japan.”
