Meeting in Hida City, Gifu Prefecture with Local Government Representatives

SeiRogai representatives Samuel Yuen and Rachel Leng recently visited Hida City in Gifu Prefecture, where they had productive meetings with local government officials. They met with the Tourism department to discuss strategies for reviving tourism in Hida City, which gained popularity through its association with the anime film “Your Name” but was heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, they engaged with the Commerce department to share insights on local product companies in Hida City and explore opportunities for their expansion into Southeast Asian markets. Through these collaborative efforts, SeiRogai aims to contribute to the revitalization of Hida City’s tourism industry and support the growth of local businesses, fostering a promising future for the city.

About Hida City, Gifu Prefecture

Hida is a city located in Gifu Prefecture, Japan. As of December 1, 2017, the city had an estimated population of 24,726 and a population density of 31 persons per km² in 8,905 households. The total area of the city was 792.53 square kilometers. Hida is the northernmost city in Gifu Prefecture and is located in the northern part of the Hida Highlands bordering on Toyama Prefecture to the north. The majority of the area of the city is forested, with many mountains exceeding 1,000 meters within the city borders.
